Ingredients
  

  • 2 packages (3.4 oz) instant cheesecake flavored pudding mix
  • 4 cups (960ml) milk
  • 1 ½ cups (360ml) cold heavy whipping cream
  • 3 /4 cup (86g) powdered sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 12 oz angel food cake, cut into pieces
  • 1 cup (156g) chopped strawberries
  • 1 cup (130g) blueberries
  • 1 cup (128g) raspberries
  • Additional berries for decoration
  • Optional substitution: 12 oz Cool Whip replaces heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract

Instructions
 

  • Whisk pudding mix and milk in a large bowl for 2 minutes until set, then set aside.
  • In a separate mixer bowl, whip heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract on high speed until stiff peaks form. Set aside.
  • Place half of the angel food cake pieces into a trifle dish, arranging pieces around the edge first.
  • Spread half of the prepared pudding over the cake layer.
  • Arrange sliced strawberries around the edge, then fill the layer with 1/2 cup each of blueberries and raspberries.
  • Spread half of the whipped cream mixture over the berries and spread into an even layer.
  • Repeat the layering process with the remaining cake, pudding, berries, and whipped cream.
  • Pipe the remaining whipped cream on top in a decorative design.
  • Fill the center of the whipped cream with additional berries.
  • Refrigerate for 2-3 hours before serving.

Notes

- Vanilla pudding may be substituted for cheesecake flavored pudding.
- Ensure sufficient quantity of each berry type; having two containers of each is recommended.
- To use Cool Whip, replace the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract with 12 oz of Cool Whip.
- Refrigerate covered for up to 3 days.
- Best consumed within 1-3 days as cake layers may soften over time.
- Do not freeze, as the texture will change significantly during freezing and defrosting.
