Ingredients
  

  • 1 ½ cups Frozen Strawberries whole or halved
  • 1 large Ripe Banana sliced and frozen
  • ½ cup Greek Yogurt plain or vanilla
  • ½ to ¾ cup Milk dairy, almond, oat, or soy
  • 1-2 teaspoons Optional Sweetener honey, maple syrup, or agave
  • 1 tablespoon Optional Boost chia seeds or ground flaxseed

Instructions
 

  • Pour the milk and yogurt into the blender jar first. This helps to facilitate the blending process.
  • Add the frozen banana slices, frozen strawberries, and any optional boosters like chia seeds or protein powder.
  • Secure the lid, start blending on low speed, then increase to high. Blend for 45-60 seconds until smooth and creamy. If the smoothie is too thick, pause and gradually add more milk.
  • Taste the smoothie and add sweetener if desired. Blend briefly for 5-10 seconds to incorporate the sweetener.

Notes

For a thick texture, use frozen fruit; ice can dilute the flavor. Riper bananas result in sweeter smoothies, reducing the need for added sweeteners. Blending liquids first helps reduce strain on the blender motor. This recipe can be made vegan/dairy-free by using plant-based yogurt and milk. Enhance protein by adding protein powder, hemp hearts, oats, or nut butter. Spinach can be added for extra nutrients, as its flavor is masked by the fruit. If you don't have yogurt, add extra frozen banana or avocado for creaminess. Adjust sweetness with lemon/lime juice if too sweet, or use a riper banana if not sweet enough. Enjoy immediately, or freeze into popsicles for 4-6 hours.
