Ingredients
  

  • 2 lbs white fish fillets e.g., tilapia, haddock, snapper, cod, halibut, or sole
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • 2 tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 2 tbsp canola oil
  • warmed flour tortillas for serving
  • cabbage slaw
  • lime crema

Instructions
 

  • Season the fish fillets with salt, pepper, and a spice mixture of paprika, cayenne, garlic powder, and cumin.
  • Heat canola oil in a grill pan and cook half of the seasoned fish for about 3 minutes until edges are opaque.
  • Flip the fish and cook until it flakes easily, then remove and repeat with remaining fish.
  • Serve the fish in tortillas topped with cabbage slaw and lime crema.

Notes

Cooking time for the fish is about 6 minutes total. Any white fish or salmon can be substituted. Suggested toppings include avocado slices, extra cilantro, sour cream, pickled red onions, jalapeños, mango habanero sauce, or salsa verde.
