Ingredients
  

  • 2 lbs salmon fillet cut into six 6 oz portions
  • 2 lbs asparagus fibrous ends removed
  • Salt to taste
  • black pepper to taste
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 small lemon sliced into rings for garnish
  • 6 Tbsp unsalted butter softened
  • 2 Tbsp fresh lemon juice from 1 small lemon
  • 2 garlic cloves pressed or minced
  • 2 Tbsp fresh parsley finely chopped
  • 1 tsp salt sea salt recommended
  • ¼ tsp black pepper

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 450°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Arrange salmon in the center of the baking sheet and asparagus on the sides, drizzling olive oil over the asparagus.
  • Mash butter, lemon juice, garlic, parsley, salt, and pepper together in a bowl.
  • Spread butter mixture over salmon and dab remaining on asparagus, topping salmon with lemon slices.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes, then broil for 2-3 minutes until golden and salmon reaches 145°F.

Notes

To soften butter quickly, place it in a sealed ziplock bag and submerge in warm water for 10-15 minutes.
