My Favorite Quiche: A Deliciously Easy Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pie crust rolled out and fitted into a 9-inch pie pan
  • 3 eggs beaten
  • 1.5 cups milk
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 medium onion minced
  • 8 oz mushrooms sliced
  • 6 oz baby spinach
  • 6 strips bacon cooked and crumbled
  • 1.5 cups Gruyere cheese shredded
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F and bake the pie crust for 5-7 minutes until lightly browned, then reduce the temperature to 325°F.
  • Sauté the mushrooms and onions in oil over medium-high heat for about 5 minutes, then add spinach and cook until wilted.
  • Combine eggs, milk, onion, bacon, spinach, mushrooms, and salt in a bowl, then mix cheese and flour separately and add to the egg mixture.
  • Pour the filling into the crust and bake for 45-55 minutes until set, then let cool for 20 minutes before slicing.

Notes

The quiche can be served warm or at room temperature. Drain excess moisture from sautéed vegetables before mixing with the eggs.
