My Favorite Quiche

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pie crust pie crust rolled out and fitted into a 9-inch pie pan
  • 3 eggs beaten
  • 1.5 cups milk
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 medium onion minced
  • 8 oz mushrooms sliced
  • 6 oz baby spinach
  • 6 strips bacon cooked and crumbled
  • 1.5 cups Gruyere cheese shredded
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F and bake the pie crust for 5-7 minutes until lightly browned.
  • Sauté the mushrooms and onions in oil for about 5 minutes, then add spinach until wilted.
  • Combine eggs, milk, sautéed vegetables, bacon, and cheese mixed with flour in a bowl.
  • Pour the mixture into the crust and bake for 45-55 minutes until set.
  • Cool for 20 minutes before slicing and serve warm or at room temperature.

Notes

The quiche can be served warm or at room temperature. Let it cool for about 20 minutes before slicing for easier serving.
