Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound pound cake cubed
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries sliced
  • 2 cups fresh blueberries
  • 2 cups vanilla pudding homemade or store-bought
  • 2 cups whipped cream
  • ΒΌ cup granulated sugar optional, for berries

Instructions
 

  • Combine sliced strawberries and blueberries in a bowl. Optionally, toss with sugar and let sit for 10 minutes to release juices.
  • Layer half of the cubed pound cake in a trifle dish or large glass bowl.
  • Spread half of the vanilla pudding over the cake layer.
  • Add half of the prepared berries and half of the whipped cream.
  • Repeat the layering process with the remaining cake, pudding, berries, and whipped cream, finishing with a top layer of whipped cream.
  • Refrigerate the trifle for at least 2 hours before serving to allow flavors to meld.

Notes

This dessert is designed to be made ahead of time to allow flavors to meld. Seasonings can be customized to taste.
