Ingredients
  

  • 4 ounce package instant cheesecake pudding mix
  • 2 cups cold milk
  • 12 (1 ounce) bags mini pretzels
  • 21 ounce can strawberry pie filling
  • 1 cup frozen whipped topping thawed
  • 2 Tbsp crushed pretzels optional garnish

Instructions
 

  • Combine instant pudding mix and cold milk in a large bowl.
  • Whisk for 2 minutes until the mixture begins to thicken.
  • Refrigerate the pudding mixture for 5 minutes to set.
  • While pudding sets, gently crush pretzels inside the bottom of each bag (optional).
  • Snip the tops off the pretzel bags and roll the tops down.
  • Place bags upright on a serving tray or in a large casserole dish to prop them up.
  • Distribute the set pudding mixture evenly among the bags.
  • Distribute the pie filling evenly among the bags.
  • Top each bag with whipped topping.
  • Garnish with crushed pretzels and serve with spoons.

Notes

- Use instant pudding mix; "Cook & Serve" varieties will not set properly.
- Vanilla pudding mix can substitute for cheesecake flavor.
- Homemade whipped topping can be made using ½ cup heavy cream and 2 Tbsp powdered sugar, beaten to soft peaks.
- Pie filling can be substituted with cherry or other flavors.
