  • 12 ounces vanilla yogurt
  • 1 ⅓ cups old-fashioned or quick oats Old-fashioned rolled oats are recommended for a creamy but not mushy texture.

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1 tablespoon flaxseeds
  • 1 15 ounce can sliced peaches Drained and chopped. Use fresh peaches in season, or substitute with frozen or canned peaches.
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Optional Additions

  • pure maple syrup, honey, agave nectar, or sugar-free syrup For sweetness.
  • granola For crunch on top.
  • 2 teaspoons light brown sugar Per serving for sweetness.

Instructions

  • In a medium bowl, combine yogurt, oats, milk, vanilla extract, salt, chia seeds, flaxseeds, chopped peaches, and cinnamon.
  • Divide the mixture evenly into 4 half-pint jars.
  • Cover the jars and refrigerate overnight.
  • Serve cold or warm. To warm, microwave for 1 minute, stirring occasionally, until heated to desired temperature.

Notes

Old-fashioned rolled oats provide the best texture. Fat-free milk is recommended for lower calories, but other milk or protein shake alternatives work well. Fresh, frozen, or canned peaches can be used. Sweeteners like maple syrup or honey are optional, as is granola for added crunch. For a protein boost, consider adding protein powder or using a protein shake instead of milk.
