Ingredients
  

  • 1.5 cups coarsely ground coffee approximately ¾ cup whole beans
  • 3 cups water filtered water recommended

Instructions
 

  • Grind coffee beans to a medium-coarse consistency. Place the ground coffee into a 1-quart container.
  • Add the water and stir to combine. Cover the container and refrigerate for 18 to 24 hours.
  • Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh strainer lined with cheesecloth or a coffee filter into a clean container. Transfer the concentrate to a clean jar and store in the refrigerator.
  • To serve, pour the concentrate over ice and stir in milk, cream, or sweetener to taste.

Notes

Cold brew is a concentrate; strength can be controlled by dilution with water or ice. Do not steep for longer than 24 hours to avoid acidity. Use filtered water and grind your own beans for the best flavor. Any roast type is suitable.
