Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound asparagus trimmed
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes halved
  • 1 cup fresh mozzarella balls halved
  • ¼ cup fresh basil chopped
  • Balsamic glaze optional, for drizzling

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  • Trim the woody ends off the asparagus and arrange them on a baking sheet.
  • Drizzle olive oil over the asparagus, season with salt and pepper, and toss to coat.
  • Roast the asparagus for 15-20 minutes until tender and slightly crispy.
  • Scatter halved cherry tomatoes and mozzarella balls on top and return to the oven for 5-7 minutes.
  • Sprinkle chopped basil over the dish after removing from the oven.
  • Drizzle with balsamic glaze if desired and allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For optimal taste, use fresh ingredients like crisp asparagus and ripe tomatoes. This dish is best served warm and can be garnished with additional fresh basil.
