Ingredients
  

  • 1 bunch asparagus
  • ½ tablespoon olive oil or avocado oil
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • ½ cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1 to 2 teaspoons breadcrumbs regular or Italian, gluten-free if needed

Instructions
 

  • Prepare the balsamic glaze by boiling balsamic vinegar and simmering until reduced to 2-3 tablespoons, about 15 minutes.
  • Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  • Trim the ends of the asparagus to remove tough parts and arrange in a single layer on a baking sheet.
  • Drizzle asparagus with oil, sprinkle with salt and pepper, then roast for 6-9 minutes until tender.
  • Remove asparagus from the baking sheet to stop cooking and drizzle with balsamic glaze before serving.
  • Sprinkle with breadcrumbs for added texture and serve immediately.

Notes

Best consumed immediately; can be stored in the refrigerator for 3-5 days. For gluten-free, use gluten-free breadcrumbs or omit them. Wash the saucepan promptly after use for easier cleanup.
