Equipment

  • knife
  • cutting board
  • mixing bowl

Ingredients

  • 2 large or 3 medium ripe-firm peaches, halved and pitted
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • teaspoon cinnamon
  • teaspoon salt
  • 2 3 tablespoons chopped pecans optional
  • ¼ cup quick-cooking or regular oats
  • 2 tablespoons chilled butter, cut into small pieces
  • Vanilla ice cream for serving

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Butter a baking dish large enough to hold the peaches. Alternatively, preheat an air fryer to 350°F.
  • Halve peaches and remove pits. Use a melon baller to scoop out the center flesh of each peach, creating a cavity large enough for the filling while leaving enough flesh to maintain stability.
  • Combine flour, sugars, cinnamon, salt, and pecans. Cut in chilled butter until the mixture is crumbly with pea-sized butter pieces.
  • Pack the streusel mixture into the peach cavities.
  • Place peaches cut-side up in the baking dish or air fryer.
  • Bake in oven for 35-45 minutes or air fry for 5-15 minutes, until the topping is lightly browned and peaches are soft but holding their shape.
  • Allow to cool slightly before serving warm with vanilla ice cream.

Notes

- Recipe is scalable; ingredients can be adjusted to feed two or more people.
